Minor Surgery

We are approved by the Health Authorities to carry out minor surgery procedures, which include removal of warts, lumps, bumps and joint injections.

This clinic is run by either a doctor or a practice nurse using latest techniques. You need to make an appointment to see a doctor or a nurse first for a consultation.

About Dr Tejani

Dr Shabbir Tejani, who is a primary care surgeon, graduated with his medical degree from Manchester University in 2011. He completed GP training in 2016 in Leicester where he is an established GP principal. He performs minor surgery for many practices around the Leicestershire area, and having recently relocated to London, is working for several practices in the Greater London area. 

He completed his Minor Surgery training in 2019 and soon after started performing minor surgery. Since then he has amassed a wealth of experience, performing hundreds of procedures per year.

Outside of life in the clinic, he is a father of two boys and loves playing football on a regular basis.

About the service

This service is designed to treat a range of skin lesions, lumps, and dermatological concerns right here at our surgery. Conditions we can treat:

Common skin lesions, especially if they’re causing symptoms, for example if they are painful, irritating, changing, or worrying you, including:

  • Moles
  • Age-related skin growths (often called “age warts”)
  • Red or purple skin marks (such as haemangiomas)
  • Skin tags
  • Warts
  • Firm skin lumps (like dermatofibromas)
  • Other skin lesions where it’s not clear exactly what they are

Lumps and bumps under the skin, such as:

  • Lipomas (soft fatty lumps)
  • Sebaceous cysts (sometimes called epidermoid cysts)

Certain low-risk skin cancers:

  • Small, low-risk basal cell carcinomas (BCCs), excluding those on the head or neck

Skin biopsies:

  • If a skin problem isn’t clearly diagnosed, we can take a small sample to send for testing.

All assessments and treatments are carried out at our surgery in a safe, professional setting, with clear explanations and next steps discussed with you.
